Tennis Facts:

• Approximately 2500 Hours of Instruction is provided annually by our club pros.
• Ed Butterworth – Head Pro
• John Snead – Assistant Pro
• Mary Davis – Assistant Pro
• In 2009, 325 children participated in junior tennis programs.
• Each year Burkwood offers a minimum of 3 Tennis Socials including events on July 4th, Memorial Day, and Labor Day.
• Burkwood fields about 84 teams for the USTA and independent league play.
• Near the end of July 2009, Burkwood hosted a regional Junior Tennis Tournament for ages 12 and under and anticipates hosting this tournament annually.
• In the spring of 2009, Burkwood completed constructed of 4 new, state-of-the-art clay courts.
• Burkwood tennis players are encouraged to serve on our Tennis Committee and to contact current committee members with recommendations to improve the tennis programs.
